Partenariat – Dîner des Great Wine Capitals au Château Giscours
Très belle soirée en partenariat avec le Château Giscours pour recevoir les représentants des Great Wine Capitals. De grands vins et une hospitalité Flamboyante, une tradition séculaire à Bordeaux ! Merci, chère Aurélie Labruyère de l’avoir souligné en mots :
« Hospitality is the ancient value that brings us here together at Giscours.
… As old as the moment when people meet. One person welcomes the other to enter and share a meal… and a conversation. All civilisations have given names, codes, rites, colors to this primitive action. Wine is at the core of these hospitality ceremonies in many of them.
Wine has become a global totem, a vehicle for togetherness with no frontier.
In Bordeaux, for centuries we have been designing our local version of hospitality around our châteaux.
For us a château is more than a castel, it is a concept that underpins the Bordeaux aesthetic, archetype of value creation, a « business model. »
Châteaux are made of vineyards, wineries and facilities, and also parks, gardens, fields, forests, lakes, workshops, and all kinds of residential buildings. Even cattle can be raised… All these estates embodie the spirit of the wine.
Architecture serves to enhance wine greatness. The wine, in turn, inspires extraordinary creations.
Our châteaux are wine factories and at as the same time, temples of wine.
Some are fairy tale castels, like Giscours, some are charming mansions,
Some are family homes, some are headquarters and offices.
All are alive, inhabited by committed persons who welcome guests from everywhere.
In a virtuous boomerang effect, we, Bordeaux people have learned from hospitality and tourism innovations we discovered when traveling to Napa, to Bilbao, Lausanne or Mendoza.
Challenged by this wine tourism creativity, our châteaux had to reinvent themselves to remain lively visitor centers, hotels or guest houses, along with museums, SPA, shops and all kind of lifestyle related activities.
We hope that you will be enchanted by Bordeaux as we are enchanted by our vineyards when we travel the wine planet.
